Undrallu | Vinayakaya Chavithi Naivedhyam Recipes


Ingredients :

Rice Rava / Cracked Rice : 1/2 cup
Water : 1.5 cups
Chana Dal : 1 tbsp
Cumin Seeds : 1/2 tsp
Ghee : 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Method :

Soak the chana dal for 30 minutes and set aside. Heat a teaspoon of ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel and add the cumin seeds and let them splutter. Now add the soaked chana dal and fry for a minute. Then add water and bring to a boil. Add the salt and rice rava to it and mix very well. Reduce the flame, cover with a lid and let it cook completely. Switch off the flame and allow it cool. Once cool, divide the rice rava mixture into a round balls. Steam cook the balls on medium flame for about 10 minutes. Switch off the flame and allow it cool.

Yum recipe. We usually make it with regular rice flour itself and not rava, but this sounds great too :)
