Peppermint Meltaways

Mix plain flour and cornstarch. Set aside

Beat powdered sugar & butter until creamy and add in vanilla

Add flour mixture to the butter and make a dough

Cover and chill the dough for 2 hours

Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls

Place them on a lined baking tray spacing 2 inches apart

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the bottom of cookies lightly browned at 180 degrees C.

Mix butter, milk and peppermint extract in a bowl. Add powdered sugar

Mix everything until smooth

Spread a spoonful of icing over the cooled cookies

Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top
