How to Make Bread Kaja Recipe
Crispy fried bread dipped in a cardamom flavored sugar syrup.

- 6 Bread Slices
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Water
- A pinch of Cardamom
- Chopped Pistachios to garnish
- Oil for deep frying
Remove the brown edges of the bread slices and cut them into pieces.
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the bread pieces till crisp and golden brown evenly.
Drain them on paper towels and keep aside.
Combine the sugar, water and cardamom powder in a saucepan and mix well until the sugar dissolves completely.
Let the syrup boil until you get a half thread consistency. Remove from the heat.
Dip the fried bread slices in the hot syrup for a few seconds and take out. Arrange them in a plate and sprinkle the chopped pistachios or almonds on top when the slices are still sticky.
Let them cool completely and enjoy! :)
