Chocolate crackles are a popular Australian no-bake treat, especially during Christmas. They are made with melted chocolate, rice krispies and desiccated coconut and set easily without baking.
Roughly chop the dark chocolate and add it to a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave it in short intervals until it is melted. Stir until smooth and melted.
Transfer the melted chocolate to a large mixing bowl. Add the rice krispies and desiccated coconut to the melted chocolate.
Gently mix until everything is well coated and evenly combined.
Spoon the mixture into paper cupcake or muffin liners. Gently press it down with the back of the spoon. Do not pack them tightly. If you want to decorate them with sprinkles, add them at this stage.
Place them in the refrigerator to set for about 30 minutes to an hour. Once set, the chocolate crackles are ready to serve.

Notes
Melt the chocolate gently. Microwave in short intervals and stir in between so the chocolate doesn't seize.
