    Gujarati Lachko Dal Recipe – Easy Indian Dal Recipes

    Gujarati Lachko Dal Recipe
    Prep Time: 5 mins    |  Cook time: 15 mins    |  Serves: 4

    Hari Chandana P Indian Main

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup Toor Dal
    • 3 cups water
    • 1 tbsp Ghee
    • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
    • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
    • Salt to taste

     

    Lachko Dal, Bhindi Coconut Fry and Tomato Rasam

    Method:

    1. Combine the washed toor dal, turmeric powder and 3 cups of water. Pressure cook it for 3 – 4 whistles. Keep aside.
    2. Heat ghee in a pan and add the cumin seeds. When the seeds crackle, add the dal and salt and mix well. Add little water if it is too thick.
    3. Let it simmer for 3 – 4 minutes. Switch off the flame and serve hot with rice and ghee.
